ABOUT ME.
My Reason
All my life I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I absorb it like a sponge, assimilate it, test it, keep what is useful and reject the rest.
I love to see how the information fits in to my big picture view of how business and life should be. Once it fits into my picture I deconstruct it.
I do this to simplify it, so I can pass it on in ways that are easy to digest and apply.
For almost 20 yrs I have taken this thirst to absorb and ability to deconstruct to help business owners make radical changes in themselves and their businesses. To help them really see their business, and show them what is outside of optimal and direct them to the fastest path to improvement.
Giving them the business they alway knew they deserved.
My Backround
As the image suggests, I was brought up in Wales, but lived in Vienna, and Spain for a number of years. Spent the early part of my career in finance (Chemical bank, JP Morgan Chase), analysing companies to see what made them great.
I decided to get out of the markets in 1999 just before the Dot Com Bubble burst (the markets no longer made sense to me, I was proven right a year or so later!).
I spent the next couple of years living the life of riley on the Costa del Sol.
At the same time I helped local businesses improve (developing lead flow, systemisation , how to manage teams etc), as by then I knew from analysing hundreds of great business what they were meant to look like, so I just helped them look like that. Coaching, Consulting & Advising sprung from there. Almost 20 years later here I am.
My Name
So you might have guessed Snowy is not my real name or at least it is not the one I was born with. The name on my birth certificate is Neil.
I have been called Snowy for 30 years, by everyone who knows me, I introduce myself as Snowy and so do my friends. It has been so long now, I even think of myself as Snowy. When someone uses my real name (Neil) I have to remind myself that I am him.
It’s funny for many, many years I always used my real name for business related things, but eventually, I became wise enough to know who I really am, I’m Snowy. Maybe it’s not as professional as it could be but I am happy I hope you can be too.
Ok.. So why Snowy? I wish it was an interesing story, full of wonder and amazement. The reality is that it has everything to do with a white jumper nothing more. Maybe I’ll tell you about it some time when we become associates or friends or both.
For now I’m Snowy Phillips a name I am fond of and stuck with. I hope you can get used to it and become as fond of it as I am. 🙂
