I have a two-step strategy that will do just that. It wakes you up first thing in the morning and sends you to sleep last thing at night.
Welcome to the miracle of “Dry Washing & Circles”
Dry Washing
As the name suggests dry washing is just like you were going to wash yourself from head to toe but without water. You gently rub your body from your face all the way down to your toes. Give yourself a thorough cleaning. This is like an all-over body massage that you provide to yourself.
Circles
As the name suggests with our body we are going to make some circles. Going slowly we start with our neck, then shoulders (Firstly arms down just the joint, then full arms circles.), next we rotate our arms at the elbows, followed by the hands at the wrists. Next, we are going to slowly rotate our torso on the verticle axis then we are going to if we can very slowly rotate our spine forward then around to the side, to the back, to the other side and back to the front. Next, we are going to circle our hips. Then we are going to circle our knees, then our ankles one at a time.
There you are done.
Morning and Night
The process in the morning is the same but a little more vigorous as you are trying to wake your body up. So your “washing” is like you trying to get the blood flowing and energy into your body.
The process for the evening is trying to get the stress and the knots out to remove all the tension from your body so you go to sleep feeling relaxed. oh, one weird tip for the night routine pay more attention to the bottoms of your feet with your dry washing I have no idea why but massaging just below the balls of your feet really helps with sleep. Your guess why that is, is as good as mine.
These two simple exercises take no more than a couple of minutes but are magic. They sound stupid in the description but the difference they can make to you is life-changing. Give them a go.
